Karthikeyan, a 48-year-old from Chennai, India, first became familiar with Big Ticket some time ago while travelling between Chennai and the United States, when he would purchase tickets from the Big Ticket store at Abu Dhabi International Airport during transit. Now based in Chennai, he decided to try his luck again and has been purchasing tickets online from India through the Big Ticket website for the past 16 months.

His winning ticket was purchased individually, making the news even more special. Sharing his reaction, Karthikeyan said, “Honestly, I wasn’t aware of the weekly draws, so when I received the call, I couldn’t believe who was speaking to me. Nowadays, you receive so many scam calls, so I was initially unsure. Once I realised it was really Big Ticket, I was very happy.”

Karthikeyan does not have any immediate plans for the prize but intends to put the money towards something productive. Encouraging others to continue trying their luck, he said, “Keep trying your luck. You never know when your luck will strike.”

Saeed Salim Mohamed, an Emirati residing in the UAE, was shocked to discover that his Big Ticket purchase had turned into a winning one. He purchased his ticket online, ticket number 366239, on 27 August, and during the live draw call, his son spoke to Richard on his behalf.

Bhoomeshwar Chintapandu

Originally from India, Bhoomeshwar Chintapandu was thrilled to discover that his Big Ticket purchase had turned into a winning one. He bought his ticket online, ticket number 404603, leaving him overjoyed with the news.

Ghufran Javed

Ghufran, a 33-year-old real estate broker from Pakistan, has been living in Dubai for the past 10 years with his family. Although he has known about Big Ticket for several years and regularly watched the live draws on YouTube, he had only ever purchased a ticket once before. His winning ticket came on just his second purchase, which he bought as part of a group of six friends and selected randomly.

Ghufran initially missed the winning call, but shortly afterwards received an email informing him of the news. “When I saw the email, I immediately went on YouTube to reconfirm the result. Once I realized we had actually won, I felt so happy. It was only my second time buying a ticket, so I really didn’t expect it.”

The cash prize will be split among Ghufran and his group of friends, and he already knows what he would like to do with part of his share. “I’ll definitely use some of it to buy more Big Ticket entries,” he shared. After securing his first win on only his second purchase, Ghufran says he is looking forward to continuing his participation in future draws.
