Sip, Play, Pop: HalaPop Heads to What The Food, Alserkal Avenue

The UAE’s first locally made prebiotic soda brings free chilled sips, a 10-second challenge and personalised prizes to Dubai’s favourite food festival on 31 October and 1 November

What The Food returns to Alserkal Avenue for its fifth edition on 31 October and 1 November, and this year HalaPop, the UAE’s first locally made prebiotic soda, is popping up right in the middle of it all.

It’s the weekend Dubai food lovers wait for all year. Wander the Avenue, try something new, catch a talk or two and share a table with people you just met. This year’s theme, Khubz wa Milh (bread and salt), celebrates regional food culture, tradition and the simple joy of gathering around a meal, with a strong focus on homegrown brands and makers.

Sitting right beside the festival’s central table, HalaPop’s stand brings free chilled sips and a little friendly competition. Visitors can play the Make It Pop game: stop the timer at exactly 10.00 seconds to win, complete with lights, sound and a live leaderboard running all weekend. Winners take home totes personalised on the spot, plus pouches and HalaPop goodies.

Each can is all natural, with 6g of prebiotic fibre, no added sugar and just 29 calories, across five flavours: Pomegranate Hibiscus, Strawberry Vanilla, Cherry Cola, Ginger Lemon and Tangerine. Co-founders Karim and Walid will also be at the stand across the weekend.
