UAE homegrown ramen brand IchiRyu Ramen House has opened its newest home in Jumeirah Village Circle [JVC], marking its 4th branch overall and 3rd in the UAE.

The opening follows a journey of rapid growth: its 1st branch in Wasl, Jumeirah 1 launched in 2023, 2nd in Dubai Marina in 2025, 3rd in Chichibu, Saitama, Japan in June 2026, and now its 4th in JVC. Each branch tells a different chapter of Japan: Wasl brings the energy of Tokyo, Dubai Marina transports guests to Kyoto, and now JVC turns back the clock to Japan’s nostalgic Showa Era.

Designed around the soul of vintage Japan, IchiRyu JVC is meticulously curated with cassette tapes, vintage television references, and its iconic red wired telephone outside – recreating old Japan while delivering a fresh and immersive dining experience in modern Dubai.

The grand launch brought together a powerful mix of community and credibility – UAE media, top lifestyle influencers, Philippine dignitaries, members of the Philippine Business Council – Dubai and Northern Emirates (PBC), and distinguished guests – who joined to celebrate the brand’s next chapter.

The celebration was graced by H.E. Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver, Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Hon. Ambrosio Brian Enciso III, Consul General, Trade Commissioner Vichael Roaring, and Labor Attaché Atty. John Rio Bautista from the Migrant Workers Office in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

The launch highlighted the growing impact of Filipino entrepreneurs and professionals shaping the UAE’s hospitality landscape, with IchiRyu standing as a proud example of a Filipino-led, UAE-born brand going global.

The event brought together key members of the IchiRyu management team who shared the story behind the brand’s continued growth. Executive Chef Touru De Guzman, who oversees the development of IchiRyu’s signature broths, shared the culinary direction and introduced the brand’s newest creation – Shouyu Ramen – alongside signature dishes prepared live through the restaurant’s open-kitchen concept.

The brand also formally introduced Kimishige Akino as Chief Business Advisor, who unveiled IchiRyu’s ambitious global roadmap, with future expansion plans in Japan, the United States, Canada, and opportunities being explored in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

For IchiRyu, the JVC opening is more than the addition of another location. It represents another chapter in a journey built around food, culture, design, community, and entrepreneurship.

Located at Westview Terrace, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai, the newest IchiRyu branch is scheduled to officially open to the public starting 9 October 2026, welcoming guests to discover a little piece of old Japan through a distinctly modern Dubai experience.
