The seasonal special, premiering on the 31st of August, combines practical family-friendly recipes, Batman-inspired creations to celebrate Batman month, and sustainable cooking lessons to make back-to-school mealtimes easier, healthier and more fun.
As families across the region prepare for the return to school, Fatafeat, the Middle East’s leading Arabic food network, is bringing a fresh mix of creativity, practical cooking inspiration and family entertainment to screens with the newest season of Kitchen Tales: Back to School.
Designed with busy families in mind, the new season features 40 episodes starring Chef Kholoud, Chef Soul and Chef Sumaya, who share delicious and easy-to-prepare recipes tailored to the school season. This season, viewers will also see Chef Kholoud’s and Chef Soul’s sons join them in the kitchen in selected episodes, reflecting the family spirit at the heart of the series. From creative lunchbox ideas and nutritious snacks to quick weeknight meals and sustainable dishes that make the most of leftovers, the series offers simple recipes, smart kitchen tips and practical inspiration to help families make everyday cooking more enjoyable.
Bringing Batman to the Lunchbox
Adding a playful superhero twist to the back-to-school season, Fatafeat will celebrate Batman Month this September with two special episodes airing on 17 and 18September, featuring Chef Kholoud and Chef Soul.
In the first special, Chef Kholoud creates a Batman-themed lunchbox, transforming an everyday school meal into an exciting culinary adventure inspired by the iconic superhero. Chef Soul follows with her own creative Batman-inspired recipe, bringing an extra dose of fun and imagination to children’s back-to-school meals.
Combining the excitement of one of the world’s most recognisable superheroes with practical recipes that parents can recreate at home, the two specials offer families fresh ideas to make lunchtime and mealtimes more engaging throughout the school season.
Cooking with a Purpose: Sustainable School Lunch with Chef Sumaya
Further expanding the season’s family-focused programming, Fatafeat will present five special episodes of Sustainable School Lunch with Chef Sumaya, created in collaboration with Cartoon Network.
As Fatafeat’s Social Good Ambassador, Chef Sumaya will be joined by a child guest in each episode to prepare fun, simple and family-friendly recipes inspired by the back-to-school season. Bringing together Fatafeat’s expertise in food and Cartoon Network’s engaging, playful approach to children’s entertainment, the series uses cooking as a fun way to introduce young audiences to sustainability and everyday positive habits.
Each episode will combine hands-on cooking with simple lessons around sustainability, encouraging children to become more confident and creative in the kitchen while showing them how small everyday choices can make a difference.
From using reusable lunchboxes and reducing food waste to creatively reusing ingredients and choosing recyclable packaging, each episode will introduce practical ways for children and families to make more sustainable choices.
Through this blend of interactive cooking, sustainability and edutainment, the collaboration between Fatafeat and Cartoon Network aims to inspire children and families to make smarter, more conscious choices, while enjoying the fun and creativity of cooking together.
