For more than four decades, Quick Electric Industrial Co Ltd., an electrical engineering and manufacturing company based in Sharjah, has been manufacturing the electrical systems that help keep buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure running.

Operating since 1985, the company designs and manufactures low-voltage switchgear and industrial automation systems for projects in the UAE and international markets.

Over that time, its work has found its way into some of the UAE’s most recognizable developments. The company has supplied electrical systems associated with projects including Burj Khalifa, University of Sharjah, Yas Island and Sharjah Expo Centre, alongside data centers and other commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. Its reach has also extended beyond the UAE, with systems supplied to projects across the Middle East and Africa.

But remaining in business for that long has also meant keeping pace with an industry that looks very different from the one Quick Electric entered in 40 years ago. Projects have grown larger and more complex, while the systems powering them have become increasingly sophisticated.

Traditional controls have evolved into technologies such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs) and SCADA systems, allowing industrial processes to be monitored and controlled with greater precision. At the same time, expectations around safety, testing, documentation and reliability have increased. Quick Electric has grown alongside those changes, bringing low-voltage power distribution, motor control, and industrial automation capabilities together.

Today, the company manufactures systems ranging from Main and Sub Main Distribution Boards and Motor Control Centres to Automatic Transfer Switch panels, Generator Synchronizing Panels, capacitor banks and customized PLC, HMI and SCADA control panels. Its type-tested low-voltage assemblies cover applications from 250 Amps to 4,000 Amps, with configurations adapted to individual project requirements.

But the breadth of its product range is only part of the company’s approach.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Quick Electric designs its systems around the requirements of each project. Factors such as electrical loads, operating conditions, technical specifications and how a system is intended to function can vary considerably from one project to another, requiring solutions to be engineered accordingly.

More than 40 years on, Quick Electric continues to adapt to an industry increasingly shaped by digital and automated technologies. While the systems it builds today look very different from those of 1985, the company says its approach remains the same: understanding each application and engineering a solution around its requirements.

From its manufacturing base in Sharjah, Quick Electric continues to combine decades of switchgear experience with modern automation technologies to serve projects in the UAE and international markets.
